A splash of fun

Situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park, Splash Farm is located perfectly for a range of local attractions. We have provided a map and a few leaflets of places you may wish to visit, or walk to, whilst you are staying with us but please do not take these away. We have maps of the surrounding area to take with you if you wish to explore.

  • Historic town of Arundel and its Castle, Gardens, Museum, Cathedral and Lido.

  • Local beaches and cafes at Climping or Littlehampton Beach as well as the whole coast.

  • Arundel Wildfowl & Wetlands centre.

  • Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre.

  • The Weald and Downland Living Museum – home of the ‘Repair Shop’.

  • Brighton a 40 minutes’ drive away.

  • We are within easy reach of Goodwood House and Racecourse, which holds many meetings including “Glorious Goodwood” and Goodwood Racetrack, famous for the Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival. 

  • Fontwell Racecourse is also only a short distance away.

  • Chichester – walk the historic walls around the city centre, the stunning Cathedral to admire and visit, catch a performance at the world-renowned Chichester Festival Theatre or lots of lovely independent shops and restaurants.

  • Bignor Roman Palace.

  • Arundel Festival held in August.

  • Main line train station at Arundel, direct into London Victoria.

  • Day trip to the Isle of Wight.

On the doorstep

Local shops: There is a Co-op convenience store in Arundel, Pallant wines delicatessen, with all major supermarkets within a 15 minute drive.

Restaurants: The George Pub – Turn left out of the gate and follow the road to arrive at our local pub.

Numerous places to eat in Arundel across all price ranges. There is something for everyone takeaways in Arundel including India gate, China Palace, Millennium Dragon, Trawlers fish and chips are takeaways in Arundel.

The Pig at Madehurst - A historic restaurant serving home-grown and local produce from their onsite kitchen gardens. 15 miles.

Wildlife & the environment

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Arun Valley of the South Downs and close to the South Downs and Monarch’s Way, water meadows and woodland stretches around the farm. Fallow Deer can be seen in the woods together with Red Kites, Barn Owls, Skylarks, Buzzards, Kestrels, Grey Partridge, Yellowhammers, and Chaffinches.
